Bowling Green – Morris and Veronica Jackson of Bowling Green are receiving a statewide award for their incredible work with foster children. Over the past 8 years, the Jacksons have opened their home to 30 different foster kids. They spoke with Lisa Autry of Western's Public Radio about why they do it, and what it takes to love so many different children.
Glasgow, KY – With National Guard troops serving deployments of one year or more, soldiers and their families are finding new ways to stay in regular communication. In this story, Western's Public Radio visited families in Barren and Jefferson counties to learn how families were using web cameras, instant messaging, and online blogs to stay in touch with their soldiers overseas.
