Mount Vernon, KY – The School Superintendent in Rockcastle County says a seven year old girl will be able to bring a service dog to class-----once he gets a letter of medical necessity from a doctor who has treated Cheyenne Gilliam.
Cheyenne suffers from frequent epileptic seizures. She and her dog, Mikki, have spent two days out of Mount Vernon Elementary, because officials say they weren't authorized to let the 55 pound dog into the school.
Jackson, TN – Authorities say a Greyhound bus ran into the back of a tractor-trailer rig on Interstate 40 this morning, killing the bus driver and two passengers. The wreck sent 17 other passengers to hospitals. At least fourteen passengers were treated and released.
Authorities say the tractor-trailer was pulling back onto the highway from the emergency lane when the bus struck it from behind. A Greyhound spokesperson says the bus was en route to Memphis from Louisville when the accident occurred.
Munfordville, KY – A 46 year old Munfordville man was found shot in his residence last night and state police say he was dead on arrival at Caverna Hospital. State police say they're assissting the Hart County sheriff's office in the investigation of what has been determined to be a homicide. The victim is identified as Gary Howard. No arrests have been made thus far.
Bowling Green, KY – Warren County Circuit Court Judge Steve Wilson has refused to dismiss a lawsuit claiming a prominent attorney owes the city of Bowling Green several hundred thousand dollars. Judge Wilson ruled that the city has standing to sue Steve Catron over his work related to the Convention Center in Bowling Green.
