Bulan, KY. – The Kentucky State Police say an oil well explosion in Perry County has killed two workers and has seriously injured another. Initially, one worker was listed as missing, but authorities have now identified 36 year old Bill Chandler of Lost Creek as one of the two workers killed.
Frankfort, KY – Authorities say the number of traffic deaths in Kentucky is increasing, even as national totals decline. At the current rate, Kentucky could top the 931 deaths in the state last year.
Munfordville, KY – Wine could be sold in the Pikeview precinct of Hart County if voters give their approval in a special vote September 14th. A petition containing the names of 131 registered voters from the precinct has been presented to the county clerk requesting the vote on limited alcohol sales. An absentee voting machine is to be operational at the Hart County courthouse August 27th to record the vote.
