Frankfort, KY – A State employee questioned during an investigation that led to the firing of a State Park Manager has asked for a probe of her own. Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park employee Augusta Graham claims Commerce Cabinet attorneys misled her about whether she needed a lawyer present.
Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's seasonally-adjusted uemployment rate fell from 5.5 percent in March to 5.3 percent in April. The Department for Employment Services reports the decline from the previous year's levels stands at one full percent.
The department's chief labor market analyst, Carlos Craycraft, says the year to year decline is "a significant drop." He says another positive sign is a fifteen percent decline in the number of claims for first-time unemployment benefits.
