Southern Indiana authorities say a helicopter crashed while crop dusting a field, injuring the pilot. Jefferson County emergency management director Dave Bell tells WHAS-TV and WAVE-TV the crash happened about 7:45 a.m. Friday near State Road 3 and Highway 256 about 35 miles north of Louisville, Ky.
The Green River Firefighters Association signed a three-year contract to host the Association's Officer School beginning in February 2015. The deal runs through 2017. The school is expected to bring nearly 1,200 attendees over a four day period to Owensboro with an anticipated $400,000 economic impact.
