Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate has dropped to its lowest level of the year. The Office of Employment and Training says the unemployment rate is now down to four-point-six percent.
The figures from September are down one-half percent from the previous month. Carlos Craycraft, the Department's Chief Labor Market Analyst, says last month marked the first time since early 2001 that the state's jobless rate has dipped below five percent.
Bowling Green – The Republican Party of Kentucky has filed a complaint with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance, alleging campaign finance violations by the Senate Democrat Caucus. The complaint charges that the Senate Democrat Caucus is illegally raising money through a website, which allows for donations to be made payable to the "Kentucky Senate Democratic Caucus."
