103 Year Old Vet Gets Medal

By AP

Cincinnati, OH – At the age of 103,Robley Rex isn't slowing down much.
He served in World War I, came home to work as a postal employee and ordained Methodist minister and still volunteers at a department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Louisville.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars honored Rex Tuesday at its national convention in Cincinnati with a medal recognizing his lifetime of service. He hobbled down an aisle, smiling and nodding to the other veterans who reached out to shake his hand and pat him on the back.
Rex says he supposes he's one of a kind. He's the only known WWI veteran surviving in kentucky.
