$50 Million RV Mecca To Be Built In Franklin

Franklin, KY – Governor Fletcher has hailed a project that will create 800 jobs in the Franklin area as "visionary". He said Wednesday that the "R V Mecca" will attract 1.8 million tourists a year to the area.
The $53.3 million project will create a giant recreational vehicle center in southern Kentucky.
It'll open in 2007 of Interstate 65 in Simpson County.
The centerpiece of the project is a 500,000 square foot building that will house a year-round RV show
The main building would also house one of the largest Camping World stores in the country at 50,000 square feet.
Governor Fletcher says the project will not only add 800 jobs but will bring in money from other states as well.
The project would also include an RV museum and a 300 bay service center.
