Abandoned Cars Litter Roadways

By AP

Frankfort, KY – The state transportation cabinet reports that due to the winter storms last week, a large number of vehicles have been left abandoned along the sides of roads.
A report out Wednesday says road crews have been able to clear many of the roadways, now making it possible for people to remove their vehicles from the state rights-of-way.
The report says people are urged to move their vehicles as soon as possible to remove safety hazards to other motorists.
The state also says if you can't get your vehicle out of the ice and snow, call your local law enforcement agency and report the vehicle's description, it's location and license plate number.
It's also recommended you tell that agency you're working on getting the vehicle unstuck.
