Anti-Gay Rallies Will Draw Protests

Lexington – A rally is being planned to counter protests by an anti-gay preacher and followers outside six Lexington churches on November 24th.

Topeka, Kansas Pastor Fred Phelps will protest at Lexington's Cathedral of Christ the King because the Church's Reverend baptized quadruplets who are being raised by a gay couple. Phelps also plans protests at five other Lexington churches he says do not share his views on homosexuality.

The same day, Hate-Free Lexington will hold a rally at the Downtown Arts Center. Hate-Free represents about 25 Lexington-area religious, civic and gay-rights organizations.
