Louisville, KY – The ex-mistress of Kentucky Governor Paul Patton
is scheduled to go on trial next week on a federal
charge of mail fraud. However, the Associated
Press is reporting that she will change her
innocent plea at a hearing Thursday.
Tina Conner previously pleaded innocent to the
single count that alleged she falsified an
application for a company she owned. She
allegedly falsified the document to be certified
as a "disadvantaged" business.
Conner's attorney had previously indicated that
Governor Patton would be called as a witness
in Conner's trial.
