Attorney: Burnside Pastor Wrongly Accused in Slayings

Boyle County

The attorney for a Pulaski County pastor accused of gunning down three people in a pawn shop says his client was not in the store on the day of the slayings.

Attorney Mark Stanziano said Friday there are people who can back up Kenneth Allen Keith's claim he never went to the Danville store on Sept. 20 when the shootings occurred. Keith was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of murder and one count of robbery. He's being held in the Boyle County Detention Center.

Prosecutor Richie Bottoms says he's "100 percent confident" he can get a conviction against Keith.
Authorities have not revealed a possible motive.

Killed in the shootings were Michael Hockensmith, his wife Angela and Daniel P. Smith.

Keith is a Baptist pastor in south-central Kentucky.
