State police are investigating a case of murder-suicide in southern Kentucky. Authorities say they received a call from 45-year-old Richard Smith, of Glasgow, who said a man was driving a truck around his home on Finney Road Thursday night. Minutes later, Smith made another call to police saying that the suspect was in his driveway with a gun.
Police entered the home and found Smith shot to death. Authorities say 43-year-old Norman Preston of Smiths Grove killed Smith and then took his own life inside the house. Police are not releasing a motive for the killing.
