A bone marrow drive is being held in honor of a former junior-high football player in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Tyler Hendrieth was diagonsed with leukemia after his seventh grade year and needs a a bone marrow transplant from a perfect match donor.
Hardin County School Community Relations Specialist John Wright says the bone marrow drive will help to add to the data base of possible bone marrow donors. The procedure is described as "painless" , and there is no fee to participate.
The drive will run from 8am until noon, eastern time Saturday, September 8th. It will take place at the Alton Middle School, which is located at 100 Country Club Drive in Vine Grove.
