Bowling Green Police Investigate Bank Robbery
An investigation is continuing into a bank robbery today at the BB&T branch on Nashville Road in Bowling Green. Police were notified at 11:05 Friday morning that the bank had just been robbed.
According to Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward, the robber is described as a Hispanic male, 5'03" to 5'06" tall with a stocky build. The man was wearing a white Aeropostale hooded sweatshirt and had pulled the shirt up to cover his face at the time of the robbery.
Witnesses told police the man entered the bank and demanded money, before running from the bank. He is believed to have run across Nashville Road into an area mobile home park. Officers brought two police dogs to search the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The robber received an undetermined amount of cash.
