Bowling Green Police Officer Shoots and Kills Threatening Suspect

Officer Keith Casada, Jr., a two year veteran of the force, shot and killed 46 year old Gregory Harrison of Brownsville in Bowling Green early Sunday morning.

Casada's been placed on administrative leave while Kentucky State Police continue their investigation of the shooting. State police say a "highly intoxicated" Harrison stood on the railroad tracks in the 1100 block of Clay Street screaming at officers "to shoot him," according to a release from State Police. Harrison was shot once in the torso when he refused police commands and kept his hands behind his back. He was pronounced dead at the Medical Center.Officers were approached by Harrison after he made a call to 9-1-1 just after 1:30 Sunday morning saying he was going to "kill his brother" and that he "was in the parking lot with a gun."
