Bunning Says New Energy Bill is Good for Kentucky

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green/Washington D.C. – U-S Senator Jim Bunning says the new energy bill
will create jobs and help the environment in
Kentucky. The Republican from northern Kentucky
says he is especially pleased that provisions
relating to clean coal technology are in the final
package. Those provisions will provide tax incentives
for companies which adopt clean coal technology.

Bunning says he is also pleased with the level of
support the bill will provide for soy diesel and corn-
based ethanol fuels programs. Some Kentucky
farmers are expected to benefit from the sale of
corn and soybeans for fuel production.
