Chandler's Running Mate Donates to Campaign

By AP/Dan Modlin

Louisville, KY – The Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor in
Kentucky has announced that he will give one-half
million dollars to the campaign of his running mate,
Ben Chandler. Louisville businessman Charlie Owen
announced the five hundred thousand dollar donation
today in Louisville.

The announcement comes the same day that
Chandler's opponent, Republican Ernie Fletcher,
benefits from a Presidential visit. President Bush
is visiting a fund-raiser for Fletcher this afternoon
in Lexington.

Voters will decide next month which candidate will
replace Kentucky Governor Paul Patton, who is
completing his second term.
