Somerset, KY – Investigators say two children who died along with an adult in a Pulaski County traffic crash Sunday were not in child safety seats.
Four year old Jerry Calhoun, Jr. and his two year old sister, Sarena, died as a result of a two car crash three miles south of Somerset Sunday afternoon. They were riding with 40 year old Karen Cogdill who died at the scene. Sheriff Todd Wood says three people were injured in the collision.
Sgt. Phillip Cross of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says the 2 year old might have been wearing a lap belt, but no other safety restraints were in use.
