Clarksville Mayor Investigation

By AP

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville city council members have requested a special session over concerns the mayor's ties to a business could be a conflict of interest.
American Infrastructure Management is a private company whose board of directors includes city mayor Don Trotter and Gas and Water Director Dwight Luton. The company bids on federal contracts.
Trotter and Luton are also stockholders in the company.
Two other directors and stockholders, Darrell James and Paul Moore, lead other companies that have been awarded millions of dollars in contracts to do work for Clarksville Gas and Water.
The request for a special session was signed by all twelve members of the council Tuesday.
City code requires the special session be called within 72 hours so the meeting has to be held by Friday.
