College Application Week Wrapping Up in Kentucky

Kentucky College Application Week is coming to a close. Friday is the last day for this year's weeklong program that helps Kentucky high school seniors navigate the sometimes tricky college application process.

Schools that participate in the federally funded program have counselors and resource materials on hand to assist the students. State officials have visited some participating schools.

Thirteen schools were selected this year for the program, though any school in Kentucky has access to an online toolkit. The pilot schools were selected based on several factors, including number of students who go on to college, free- and reduced-price lunch eligibility, minority population and ACT scores.

College Application Week is sponsored by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority. It is funded by a federal College Access Challenge Grant.
