Conference for Kentucky Women Writers Focusing on Food
The annual Kentucky Women Writers Conference this year will be all about food. Food writing, that is.
The conference will feature keynote speaker Ruth Reichl, whose latest book is "For You, Mom, Finally." She is also a former editor-in-chief of Gourmet magazine and is a judge on the television show "Top Chef Masters."
Other writers expected to participate are Louisville's Sarah Fritschner; Lexington poet Carrie Green; Transylvania University professor Melissa McEuen and blogger Rona Roberts, who recently published a book about sorghum.
The conference is scheduled for Sept. 21-22 at the University of Kentucky. Founded in 1979, it is the longest running annual festival of women writers in the United States
