Consumer Alert: Kroger Issues Spinach Recall Involving Kentucky, Indiana

Kroger is recalling spinach sold at grocery stores in more than a dozen states due to possible Listeria contamination. The Kroger Fresh Selections Tender Spinach was sold in ten-ounce bags and had a "best if used by" date of September 16.

The spinach was sold in Kentucky, Indiana, and 13 other states.  No illnesses have been reported.  Listeria can lead to severe illness for pregnant women or people who have a weakened immune system.
