Court of Appeals Upholds Verdict against Former Klan Leader

By Dan Modlin/AP

Bowling Green, KY – The Kentucky Court of Appeals has upheld a 1.3 million dollar verdict against Ron Edwards, the one-time head of the Imperial Klans of America, who is now in prison. The court ruled that there weren't any critical mistakes in a civil case brought by Jordan Gruver, who was beaten by several Klan members at a fair in Meade County in 2006. In January the court had tossed out the award. Edwards is in federal prison on drug and gun charges.
