The Council on Postsecondary Education has worked with Kentucky’s public postsecondary institutions to develop the Kentucky Public Postsecondary Education Diversity Policy, and the plans were approved by the CPE last fall.
At a meeting in Frankfort Monday, the Committee on Equal Opportunities will prepare for the first evaluation of the new plans, which is scheduled to take place in the fall of this year.
These are campus-based plans that include specific strategies to promote diversity. The plans were required to include measurable goals covering students, staff, faculty and administrators. An outline that will be discussed at Monday's meeting has been developed to help report on progress with the institutional diversity plans.
After the plans are evaluated by CPE staff this fall, they will be reported to the Chief Executive Officer of the Council on Postsecondary Education in January
