Crews to Shift Traffic on Busy Interchange in Warren County
Motorists are advised to use caution and reduce speed when they travel across the Scottsville Road/US231 interchange Thursday night. Crews will be shifting traffic for both north and southbound directions on the bridge deck, between the hours of 8:00pm Thursday and 6:00 am Friday.
Traffic will be pushed down to one lane in each direction while the lanes are being moved and crews will be restriping the new lanes during this time. Once the traffic has been shifted, there will be two lanes of traffic in each direction, with left turn lanes for the on-ramps to I-65, according to officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The total interchange project, which will cost more than 19 million dollars, is scheduled for completion this fall.
The interchange at exit 22 on Interstate 65 is heavily traveled and motorists are advised to carefully monitor driving conditions when approaching the area.
