Documents Indicate Terror Suspect Bragged about How Many Explosives He Placed
Documents obtained by the Associated Press reveal that 24 year old Mohanad Shareef Hammadi once boasted to an informant that he had placed so many explosives in Iraq he couldn't count them all. Hammadi is one of the two Iraqi nationals arrested in Bowling Green, Kentucky last year on federal terrorism charges.
The F-B-I quoted Hammadi in a search warrant application as saying he didn't know how many explosives he placed in Iraq before he left that country for the U-S. The Iraqi national is quoted in the document as saying, "By God I didn't count them." The search warrant document details recorded conversations between Hammadi, Waad Ramadan Alwan, and an unidentified confidential source. Alwan has already entered a guilty plea to terrorism related charges.
Hammadi is facing twelve charges, including perjury and attempting to send material support to a known terrorist organization. His trial is currently scheduled for July 30th.
