E-Mail Dispute In Court

By AP

Frankfort, KY – Attorneys for the transportation cabinet and the attorney general's office have left a dispute over evidence to the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
A three judge panel heard arguments on the matter last week and gave attorneys until Monday afternoon to work out an agreement. They were unable to do so and instead have asked the appelas court to settle it.
At issue is an August grand jury subpoena ordering cabinet officials to produce e-mails relating to the on-going merit system investigation.
Prosecutors claimed not all the documents were turned over and that they elarned of some only after they were released to the Courier-Journal newspaper.
