Fatal Crash In Pulaski County KIlls Three

Somerset, KY – A two vehicle collision in Pulaski County has left three people dead, including two young children.
The Pulaski County sheriff's department reports 40 year old Karen Cogdill of Burnside and two children under her care were fstally injured in the crash Sunday afternoon. Sheriff Todd Wood says it happened three miles south of Somerset.
Chief deputy coroner Jim McWhorter says the children were 4 year old Jerry Calhoun,, Jr. and 2 year old Sarena Calhoun, a brother and sister fron Burnside.
The sheriff's report says a 2005 Mazda crossed the center line of Kentucky 1247 and collided with Cogdill's 1995 Ford. The driver of the Mazda, 19 year old Jennifer Bowling of Somerset and two other passengers in the Cogdill vehicle are being treated for injuries at lake Cumberland Hospital.
No charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
