Bowling Green, KY – Chief U-S District Judge Thomas B. Russell will assume "Senior Status" on November 15th. That status means the Federal Judge may work only part-time and won't occupy a specific seat on the bench. The 65 year-old Russell was appointed in 1994 and is based in Paducah. According to the Paducah Sun, Judge Russell says he plans to continue with a full caseload. He has heard cases in Paducah, Louisville, and Bowling Green in the past. Judge Joseph H. McKinley will succeed him as Chief Judge.
