Fire Protection Rating Has Moved Up A Notch

Bowling Green, Kentucky – The City of Bowling Green has moved up a notch in its fire protection rating. Chief of the Bowling Green Fire Department, Gary Brown, says results from the Insurance Services Office of Inspections places Bowling Green in the top three and a half percent of the nation for its ability to respond to fires.

The Insurance Services Office conducted a rating inspection for fire protection last Fall. The results determine how fire insurance rates are calculated for the city. Brown says while local residents are not likely to see any reduction as a result of the improvement, commercial properties could note a reduction in their insurance rates.
