Edgewood, KY – The shortage of flu vaccine continues to be felt in Kentucky and many senior citizens are going to have to tough it out this winter.
Hindreds of Northern Kentucky residents waited in line for flu vaccinations outside the Edgewood Senior Center as the weekend began.
Only 700 shots were made available through the Northern Kentucky Health Department. While some parts of the country have reported getting adequate supplies of the vaccine, it's been a different story in Kentucky.
This year's flu vaccine shortage started when an England-based company had its batch of flu vaccine pulled from the market due to concerns about contamination.
