Former WKU Olympian Honored by Tennessee Titans

Former WKU swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Claire Donahue will be honored this weekend by the Tennessee Titans, according to a release from WKU athletics.  Donahue will be named the "12th Titan" at Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in Nashville.

The Tennessee Titans introduced the "12th Titan" fan initiative in 2010 as a way to recognize the fan base that supports the team at LP field.  The Lenior City, Tennessee native will raise the 12th Titan flag in the south end zone plaza prior to kickoff.

The honorees have some have some Tennessee roots and could be a celebrity, civic leader, community hero,  a fan, or former Titans player.

Donahue became just the second WKU Olympic athlete to earn a medal at the summer Olympics and the first to ever claim a gold medal.
