Gasoline Prices Expected to Break Records

The recent downtrend in gasoline prices has been welcome news for many American motorists, but the Petroleum Analysts at say the cost of filling the tank will hit a new record high this Thanksgiving.

Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan predicts that the national average price will sit at $3.43 per gallon, which is about ten cents higher than last Thanksgiving's record high. In the Bluegrass state, he predicts the average price will be about $3.27 cents per gallon, which is about 8 cents per gallon higher than last Thanksgiving.

Eighteen percent of the individuals surveyed by GasBuddy said they will be driving less this year than last Thanksgiving.  Eight percent say they will be driving slightly or significantly more than last year.
