Owensboro, KY – Testimony continued Thursday in Owensboro where Lucas Goodrum is being tried for the murder of a Western Kentucky UIniversity student.
The 23 year Goodrum of Scottsville is charged with murder, first degree rape and sodomy, or complicity to commit those crimes, and first degree arson.
18 year old Melissa "Katie" Autry died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in nashville three days after she was pulled from her burned dorm room at WKU in May of 2003.
Stephen Soules is testifying against Goodrum, implicating him in the assault and burning of Autry's body. Soules said Goodrum had threatened to retaliate against Soules' family if he told police what happened.
