Goodrum Trial To Be In Owensboro

By WKYU-FM

Bowling Green, KY – The trial of Lucas Goodrum for the murder of Western Kentucky University student Katie Autry will be held in Owensboro with the denial of another change of venue motion.
Special judge Thomas Castlen denied a defense motion Monday that the trial be moved from Owensboro and re-stated that it will begin March 1st.
Autry died after being raped and set on fire in her residence hall at WKU in May, 2003.
Defense attorney David Broderick expressed concern about results of a survey financed by Goodrum's mother. A similar survey was the basis for moving the trial from Bowling Green to Owensboro.
