Governor Beshear Names New Chief of Staff
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has appointed Larry Bond to serve as his Chief of Staff. Bond will fill the position previously held by Mike Haydon, who passed away earlier this month.
Bond has been serving as deputy chief of staff since September of 2010. He previously served Commissioner and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Public Protection. He also served in the past as the chief administrative officer for Jefferson County Government.
Governor Beshear says, "Larry has been a close advisor since he joined our office, and he has not only a keen understanding of policy and statewide issues, he also has a deep love for his home state."
The Governor's office says Bond graduated from the Western Kentucky University Sheriff's Academy and attended the University of Louisville and Kentucky Wesleyan University.
