Henderson SUV Driver Was Legally Drunk

Henderson, KY – Authorities say the driver of an SUV that plunged into the Ohio River at Henderson and left six people dead was drunk at the time.
According to toxicology reports, 32 year old Korena Alvira of Evansville had a blood alcohol level of .179 which is more than twice the legal limit.
Alvira and five others drowned after police says she drove the SUV off a boat ramp. The group had left a Henderson bar during the early morning of April 2nd.
One of the passengers survived and was able to tell police what happened.
The bodies of Alvira and another woman were found in the SUV after it was pulled from the water. The bodies of four men who had been in the SUV were found after a massive search that lasted over a week.
