Hilltoppers and Hot Rods Agree to Unique Schedule
By Dan Modlin
The Bowling Green Hot Rods and WKU Hilltopper baseball team have announced a unique schedule which will allow them both to play games at the Bowling Green Ballpark on April 9th and April 23rd.
The schedule allows WKU to host both the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. WKU Head Baseball Coach Matt Myers says the chance to play in the professional ballpark is good for recruiting and good for the fans.
The Hot Rods, the class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, will schedule "education day" games for area school children on April 9th and 23rd, to accomodate the 6 pm WKU games on those dates.
