Hilltoppers Close 2012 with Saturday Contest Against North Texas

WKU closes out 2012 on Saturday night with a 7:00 matchup with North Texas, and the Hilltoppers are looking to win their 12th-straight at home and move to 4-0 in Sun Belt Conference play.

WKU has won five-straight conference games overall and six league games in a row at E.A. Diddle Arena, and a win on Saturday would make WKU 4-0 in conference games for the first time since 2005-06.North Texas was a unanimous pick to win the Sun Belt Conference West Division in the preseason coaches’ poll, and the two teams have met in four of the last five Sun Belt Conference Tournaments, including last season in the championship game.

A win on Saturday against North Texas would give WKU its 10th win of the season, and last season’s 10th win did not come until February 23.

Saturday's game includes a special halftime ceremony, as former Hilltopper Bobby Rascoe will have his number 45 jersey retired and hung in the rafters at E.A. Diddle Arena.
