Hilltoppers Look To Snap 2-Game Slide Saturday In Annapolis

WKU Athletics

After posting a perfect 2-0 record against service academies last year, the WKU football team will try to continue that success Saturday afternoon when it faces Navy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Hilltoppers beat Navy last year 19-7 in Bowling Green, but head coach Jeff Brohm says the Midshipmen will be a tough opponent again.

“We think we have a good plan in place, but like I said, they’ve seen some of this plan before, so I’m sure they have something to counteract it,” said Brohm. "We’ve got to be creative and aggressive and do some different things as well. But it will definitely be a challenge to stop that option attack.”

WKU returns to action this after two straight losses and a bye week.  Navy enters the game with a 2-2 record after losing to Rutgers last week. Game time is 2:30 central and the game will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network.

The award-winning news team at WKU Public Radio consists of Dan Modlin, Kevin Willis, Lisa Autry, and Joe Corcoran.
