Homeland Security Chief Quits

By AP

Frankfort, Ky – The Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security has resigned. An agency spokesman says Keith Hall's decision to resign is unrelated to an investigation of hiring practices in Governor Fletcher's administration.
Hall's departure comes just seven months after his appointment by Fletcher. Hall spent the first eleven months of the administration heading up the office that handles board and commission appointments for Fletcher.
Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence informed Attorney General Greg Stumbo's staff of the resignation Friday and gave assurances that records in Hall's office would be secured for investigators if needed.
