Humane Society Workers Arrested

By AP

Central City, KY – Two former humane society employees fired after two state prisoners under their supervision escaped have now been arrested on complicity charges.
State police have arrested Paul Vance and Carrie Masden on charges of second degree complicity to escape. Both are lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
Police are still looking for Green River Correctional Complex inmates James Crouch, Jr. and Dennis Milburn. Authorities say the two, who were participating in a work release program at the Muhlenberg County Humane Society, convinced Masden and Vance to take them to Bowling Green to visit Crouch's brother.
Once there, the inmates refused to get back in the vehicle and Masden and Vance left the prisoners there. The workers did not report the incident to police.
