Hundreds Attend Grignon's Funeral

By AP

Louisville, KY – Funeral services for slain police officer Peter Grignon ended just before noon Monday at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville.
Graveside ceremonies followed Monday afternoon at Cave Hill Cemetary in the city.
The 27 year old officer was fatally shot last Wednesday by a teenager who then took his own life. Hundreds of officers filed past Grignon's flag-draped casket before the service began.
Louisville metro police chief Robert White described Grignon as someone who really cared and loved all kinds of people.
White added. " He was a great listener and treated every citizen complaint as if it was his own. Peter was a good man and that's what made him such a good officer."
