Indiana and Kentucky Governors Announce Plans for the Sherman- Minton Bridge

Bowling Green, KY – The Governors of Indiana and Kentucky say it will cost about twenty million dollars to repair the Sherman-Minton Bridge. The structure has been closed for the past three weeks, after some weld defects were found.Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels held a news conference today in New Albany, Indiana, to reveal that the bridge will be closed for repairs for about six months. The bridge carries Interstate 64 traffic over the Ohio River.
