Interstate 24 Closed in Western Kentucky

By AP

Kuttawa, KY – The Kentucky State Police now say Interstate 24 near
Kuttawa, Kentucky will remain closed in both directions
for one to three days. A chemical used in the manufacture
of pesticides has been burning at the scene, the result of
a fire that broke out in the truck hauling the substance.

A Wright's Trucking Company vehicle was hauling the
toxic chemical, which has been identified as
dibutylaminoethanol. State police say I-24 is closed
from exit 27 to exit 40 in the Lyon county area. A
detour is provided on U-S 62 from Calvert City to
Kuttawa.
