Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews will have a lane closure in place for southbound I-65 beginning Wednesday, April 11 at 7:00 pm until midnight. The lane closure is necessary while crews shift southbound traffic to the far left lanes between the Cumberland Parkway (mm 43) and Park City (mm 48).
After the shift has been made, the two lanes of southbound traffic will be divided by the median wall and will remain this way for approximately four months. The shift in traffic is necessary for work to begin in the far right lane of the southbound direction.
Once traffic has been shifted, there will be a 11 ft width restriction in place for this section of I-65 for the next 4 months.
Northbound traffic will not be impacted while crews switch traffic in the southbound direction.
Motorists should anticipate slow moving traffic and adjust their speed accordingly.
