Bowling Green, Ky – Officials with the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training say jobless rates have moved lower in 99 Kentucky counties in the past year. The latest figures compare October of this year to October of 2010. Spokesperson Kim Saylor Brannock says the unemployment rate in Warren County dropped from nine percent to eight percent during that period. Woodford County has the lowest jobless rate in the bluegrass state, at 6.4 percent. The state's unemployment rate is still higher than the nation's.
