Jobless Rates Rise Again in Kentucky

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green, KY – Kentucky's jobless rate has reached 10.2 percent. State officials say that reading is the highest unemployment rate since May of this year, and marks a two-tenths of a percent increase in the past month. Although the overall jobless rate moved higher, some sectors did show job growth in November. The Education and Health Services sector, for example, showed an increase of eleven hundred jobs for that month.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that about 212 thousand Kentuckians were unemployed in November.
