Judge Refuses to Drop Guilty Plea in Conner Case

By Dan Modlin/AP

Lexington, KY – A Federal judge has denied Tina Conner's request
to withdraw her guilty plea in a mail fraud case.
The former mistress of former Kentucky Governor
Paul Patton was sentenced to two years probation
by U-S District Judge Joseph Hood.

Conner was indicted last year on a mail fraud charge
stemming from her application to the Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet for special status as a
government contractor. Conner was accused of
falsely claiming that she was running a construction
business, when it was actually being run by her
husband at the time---- Seth Conner.

Conner's affair with Governor Patton ended amid her
allegations that he used the power of his office to
retaliate for her ending their two-year affair.
